Ready for a spooky time this month?

Ready for a spooky time this month?

If Halloween is your favorite time of the year and you love scaring the crap out of yourself, then you’re in luck!

Northern Screams Blezard Valley Fields of Fear Scream Park is back this month with even more spine-tingling excitement…and new attractions and special events too.

“This is the fourth year for Fields of Fear, which includes a completely redesigned Kooky Cirkus FreakShow Funhouse and a redesigned hostel that is Northern Screams’ first haunted attraction,” explained Robby Lavoie, the creative mind behind Northern Screams.

He added: “The Kooky Cirkus combines elements of a traditional carnival funhouse with carnival sideshow curiosities to create a completely new experience for guests…we are very excited about this very spooky addition!”

Housed in a century-old former schoolhouse, the hostel fully immerses guests in the haunted experience in every room. “Go into your creepy guest room if you dare!” Lavoie challenged. “Gaston, the innkeeper, his wife and his brothers will challenge your fears as you face them head-on in this most intense and terrifying experience! You can check in at the hostel, but you can’t check out.”

New this year, Lavoie and his partners have added a series of themed events to enrich the haunted experience. These events will make you want to come more than once.

The venue will open on Friday, October 11th with the Wicked Wares Outdoor Night Market, featuring more than 25 local Halloween, horror and pop culture vendors.

On Sunday, October 20, from noon to 4 p.m., Northern Screams will host a PumpkinFest that includes family-friendly activities, face painting, balloon spins, carnival games, a Dinomaze and a lights tour of both regular attractions. “This is our more family-friendly day for those with younger children,” Lavoie explained.

Things will be in full swing on Sunday, October 27th with the Night Tires Trunk or Treat from 7pm to 10pm. Lavoie explained, “Night Tires will feature lighted custom trucks, rat rods and muscle cars that are not normally on display very well at daytime car shows. Come in your favorite Halloween costume and go trick-or-treating from car to car at this fully-accessible Trunk-or-Treat event!”

The last night of the haunting is Wednesday, October 30th, Devil’s Night.

“Northern Screams Attractions has been named one of the top five must-see haunted attractions by Ontario Travel and we have received national media attention from the Globe and Mail.” Narcity Magazine and Breakfast TV for our innovation and our ability to up the fear factor while improving the customer experience,” said Lavoie.

He concluded: “Halloween is my favorite time of the year. My team and I have worked very hard to offer visitors new experiences and raise the bar year after year to deliver the highest quality of award-winning attractions that Northern Screams guests have come to expect! We look forward to showing you an incredibly good time!”

Individual tickets for each attraction are $15, but you can also purchase an entry pass for $25 for both attractions. Group rates and tours are also available.

Tickets can be purchased on-site or online here on the event evenings from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. For more information please call 705-690-5753.
