Iran cancels flights due to reports of threatened Israeli aggression

Iran has warned the Israeli regime not to respond to Iran’s retaliation, saying any response would be met with even greater severity by the Islamic Republic.

Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization (CAO) announced on Sunday that all flights at Iranian airports were canceled from the evening of October 6 to the morning of October 7 due to restrictions.

“Due to the restrictions that have arisen… flights at the country’s airports will be canceled from 9 p.m [17:30 GMT] on Sunday evening, October 6th, until 6 p.m [02:30 GMT] Tomorrow, October 7, CAO spokesman Jafar Yazarlou was quoted by Mehr News Agency.

This decision follows reports of an expected Israeli counterstrike in response to Iran’s Operation True Promise II.

Iran has warned the Israeli regime not to respond to Iran’s retaliation, saying any response would be met with even greater severity by the Islamic Republic.

However, reports on Saturday suggested that Israel’s leadership had already agreed on a response.

Nuclear sites or oil fields in sight?

In the context of a possible Israeli retaliation against Iran, former US President Donald Trump has strongly advocated targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Trump believes destroying these facilities should be a top priority to neutralize what he sees as a critical threat.

On the other hand, President Joe Biden suggested that “Israel” should consider alternatives to attacks on Iranian oil sites, but noted that “Israel” has not yet decided on a course of action.

Biden told reporters at a White House news conference that “the Israelis have not yet decided what they are going to do in terms of an attack. That is being discussed,” but stated, “If I were in their shoes, I would be thinking about alternatives other than attacking oil fields.”

Iran is ready for “any situation”.

Earlier today, IRGC Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri said in an interview with Iran’s Al-Alam network that Iran has comprehensive plans to deal with all possible scenarios.

“We prepare for any situation,” Tangsiri said, adding that he was the “leader of the Islamic Revolution.” [Sayyed Ali Khamenei] “has always emphasized the need for full preparedness and vigilance under normal or emergency situations in the region, including Netanyahu’s playing with fire.”

The IRGC commander also referred to Iran’s major military parade last month at the start of Holy Defense Week.

The event sends a clear message to enemies, he said, noting: “If they decide to spark a war in West Asia, Iran will resolutely confront them.”

“Islam does not allow us to attack a country unless they attack us,” he continued.

However, enemies, driven by their desire to sell weapons and expand their illegal presence in the region, are trying to falsely portray Iran as a threat.
