Tragic road accident claims the lives of three students in Dindigul | Madurai News

Dindigul: Three college students died in a road accident on Sunday after a container truck collided with their two-wheeler nearby Natham In Dindigul district.
The victims, identified as Balaji (19), Praveen (19) and Dinakaran (20), all residents of Ashok Nagar in Natham, were returning from a kabaddi event near Sanarpatti. The accident occurred near a juice factory on the Dindigul-Natham road when an oncoming truck hit their motorcycle. Due to the impact, all three were thrown out of the vehicle and Balaji and Praveen died on the spot.
Dinakaran was rushed to Dindigul Government Medical College Hospital but succumbed to his injuries without responding to treatment. Sanarpatti police have registered a case and are searching for the truck driver. The bodies were sent for autopsy.
Following the accident, villagers staged a protest on the Dindigul-Natham road and condemned the frequent speeding of container trucks from the nearby juice factory, which they said had led to several accidents. Police assured protesters that appropriate action would be taken, after which the protest ended. Traffic on the road was disrupted for more than half an hour.
