One man died and several were injured in shootings at the Fort Worth Stockyards

One person was killed and several others were injured in a shooting near the Fort Worth Stockyards early Sunday morning, Fort Worth police said.

Fort Worth police responded to the incident around 3 a.m. and found 18-year-old Joseph Steven Padilla dead at the scene.

The shooting happened in a parking lot in the 100 block NW 24th St.occurred just one day after Padilla’s 18th birthday, according to the Tarrant County coroner’s office.

Injured victims were transported to local hospitals for medical treatment. Another victim was taken to a hospital in a private vehicle.

According to police, all injured victims are expected to survive.

There have been no arrests and police have not identified any suspects.

Homicide detectives are investigating the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact Fort Worth police.
