One person injured, one in custody in Charleston stabbing

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS) — One person was injured and another person was arrested following a stabbing in Charleston early Saturday morning.

According to dispatchers, reports of the stabbing came in around 1:15 a.m. near the intersection of Main Street and Hunt Avenue on the city’s west side.

Charleston police said the victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and that the suspect was taken into custody.

The suspect’s name has not been released at this time as the investigation is ongoing.
