1 murdered, 8 injured in Be’er Sheva attack

A young woman of about 20 was murdered and eight people were injured in a multi-stage shooting and knife attack early Sunday afternoon at the central bus station in Be’er Sheva.

MDA reports that one young woman is in moderate to serious condition, four victims are in moderate condition and three are in minor condition.

MDA said the attack took place in three different areas of the central bus station.

The terrorist was neutralized by security forces. However, there are reports of a police chase after a car in the city and there is a possibility that another terrorist was involved in the attack. Police warned that the incident was ongoing and no one was allowed to approach the area as the area was still being searched.

United Hatzalah paramedic volunteers Eliyah Tubul, Yosefi Asor and Daniel Levy reported: “We provided initial treatment at the scene for a young woman who was seriously injured and was later transported to the hospital, and for another woman who was was in critical condition, and for four people who were moderately and slightly to moderately injured. We also provided on-site assistance to a number of people who were suffering from emotional shock due to the nature of the incident.”
