Emotional drama “Aabgeena”: A journey into unfulfilled lives |

Lucknow: A play titled “Aabgeena‘, organized by Huge art and cultural societywas performed at the UP Sangeet Natak Akademi on Sunday. Directed by Govind Singh Yadav, the play is an adaptation of the English play “The Glass Menagerie‘, written by Tennessee Williams.
The play is based on the memoir of narrator Aejaz, an aspiring poet who works in a factory to support his mother Nafeesa and disabled sister Lubna. Both mother and sister are lost in their own world. The play ends with the narrator feeling guilty for not being able to help his mother and sister in their situation. The main characters were played by Arvind Singh, Ananya Singh and Shailja Kant.
