Iran summons Australian ambassador for ‘biased attitude’, Tasnim reports

DUBAI (Reuters) – Iran’s foreign ministry has summoned Australia’s ambassador to Tehran over his country’s alleged biased attitude towards Iran’s attack on Israel, Iran’s Tasnim news agency reported on Sunday.

Ian McConville was called out for his country’s repeated bias, including over Iran’s response to what it called “the Zionist regime,” i.e. Israel.

The Australian embassy in Tehran did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Sunday.

Tehran launched a rocket attack against Israel on Tuesday in retaliation for the killing of several leaders of Iranian-aligned armed groups. Israel has announced that it will respond.
