Neighbors heard gunshots in deadly West Philadelphia shooting: “Boom, boom, boom!”

PHILADELPHIA – A man was shot and killed in West Philadelphia on Saturday morning, and neighbors said they heard the tragic moment.

“Boom! Boom! Boom! I don’t know what the gun strength is, but there was a loud bang and all those shots went into that boy,” said a neighbor.

The victim, a 25-year-old man, was shot multiple times just before 10 a.m. at a home in the 1300 block of 52nd Street

He died from his injuries a short time later in a local hospital.

“I heard boom, boom, boom, boom and get out of my house!” said another neighbor. “The mother screamed: Get out of my house.”

Police are still searching for the shooter and are offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
