Teen dead, another shot in Laurinburg shooting

LAURINBURG, NC (WMBF) – A shooting Saturday in Laurinburg left one teenager dead and another injured.

Laurinburg Police Department officers responded to the Greenfield Apartments Saturday evening for a gunshot victim.

When officers arrived, they found a 17-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound.

Laurinburg teen Kevonte McBryde was taken to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.

Officers also found a second gunshot victim, a 15-year-old, with non-life-threatening injuries.

Another 15-year-old teenager was uninjured and left an area hospital before police arrived.
