Police are investigating a shooting incident near a youth soccer game

NORMAL (25News Now) – Normal police are investigating a shooting incident near a youth soccer game early Saturday evening.

A post on the Twin City Tiger Facebook page said it happened near a game at Normal Plaza, a 22-acre park between Lincoln and Beech streets, during a varsity game around 5:47 p.m be

According to Normal police, callers in the aforementioned area heard multiple gunshots.

Police were able to secure the area, speak to witnesses and find evidence of a shooting in the incident.

No one was injured and work is underway to identify potential suspects.

This incident is still under investigation.
