Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill arrested on video in handcuffs by police for traffic violation | News, results, highlights, statistics and rumors

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill was briefly arrested by police before Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Drew Rosenhaus, Hill’s agent, told ESPN’s Adam Schefter that the eight-time Pro Bowler was pulled over by authorities for a “driving violation.”

In conversation with ESPN’s Jeff Darlington (via Safid Deen from USA today) Rosenhaus said he was “deeply concerned” that police handcuffed Hill. He added: “We will look into it, we will investigate it.”

One of the officers involved has been placed on administrative leave, according to Miami-Dade police:

NFL Networks Tom Pelissero and others noted that a similar scene unfolded outside Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky, in May.

Golf fans learned of Scottie Scheffler’s arrest before the second round after he was stopped by Louisville police as he attempted to enter the club. Scheffler was released and played as scheduled, and prosecutors ultimately dropped charges against him.

Hill is in his third season with the Dolphins. He was All-Pro for the fifth time in 2023 after catching 119 passes for an NFL-high 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns. He had seven catches for 130 yards and a touchdown in Sunday’s win over Jacksonville.
