One person dies and five are injured in a traffic accident on the Kabul-Jalalabad highway

One person has died and five others have been injured in a road accident on the Kabul-Jalalabad highway, according to local reports.

Younus Yusufzai, a spokesman for the Taliban police command in Laghman province, said the accident was due to a collision between three vehicles.

Doctors at Laghman Provincial Hospital reported that the condition of the injured was improving.

According to Amu TV, more than 100 people have died and dozens more have been injured in various road accidents across Afghanistan in the past two months. The recent increase in the number of victims in road accidents is considered significant.

Taliban traffic authorities had previously said that most of these incidents were due to reckless driving and excessive speed.
