Washington, D.C — A suspect linked to a shooting in Northwest D.C. that left a teenager injured remains at large, and officials are turning to the public for help identifying the person.

On Monday, September 30, at approximately 4:21 p.m., a group of juveniles were involved in an altercation in the 5900 block of Georgia Avenue Northwest when the suspect fired a weapon, striking a juvenile male. The victim was transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Surveillance footage of the suspect was released.

Anyone with information is asked to call (202) 727-9099 or text 50411. A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction in this case.

  • Newark police are asking the public for help identifying robbery suspects

    NEWARK, NJ – Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying three suspects involved in a robbery that occurred last weekend in Newark’s Ironbound neighborhood.

    According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at approximately 2:45 a.m. in the 100 block of Van Buren Street. The suspects reportedly approached a male victim, threw him to the ground, punched and kicked him, and then robbed him of his wallet, $300 in cash and an iPhone 14 Pro.

    Officials said the suspects were last seen fleeing south on Van Buren Street toward Lafayette Street.

    Investigators described all three suspects as short men in their mid to late twenties with no facial hair. One suspect was wearing a Pittsburgh Steelers baseball cap, blue pants and a shirt with the “Get To The Bag” logo. Another was reportedly wearing a black jacket, blue basketball shorts and a dark baseball cap, while the third was wearing a black Puma tracksuit with white stripes.

    Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to contact Newark police as the investigation continues.

    BURNSVILLE, N.C. – Federal law enforcement officers have been deployed to Yancey County to ensure the safety of search parties, according to a statement released Saturday by the Yancey County Sheriff’s Office.

In a social media post, the sheriff’s office clarified that the officers were not there to enforce laws or take control of local operations. Your sole responsibility is to ensure the safety of the teams conducting the search operations.

    “These teams are here solely to ensure the safety of the search parties on scene,” the sheriff’s office said in the statement.
