One Shot and Another Stabbed in Pleasant Valley (VIDEO)

PLEASANT VALLEY – Police, fire and EMS responded to a Christmas tree farm Saturday evening after a report of a violent domestic incident in which one man was stabbed and another was shot. The incident occurred just after 6 p.m. at Bilmar Nursery on Rawls Road in Pleasant Valley

Dutchess County 911 received multiple calls about the incident. One reported a man with a stab wound, another call reported shots fired and another reported a man with a gunshot wound. The dispatcher told police that one of the people involved was a 19-year-old man.

When first responders arrived, they found the teenager with life-threatening gunshot wounds to his stomach, arm, chest and torso. He was transported to Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie in critical condition.

The second victim, in his 50s, was identified by sources at the scene as Tom Case, the owner of the Christmas Tree Farm and Nursery. Case is said to have been stabbed in the chest. He was transported to MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie in unknown condition. Case, in his 50s, served in the United States Marine Corps and served with the LAPD for 20 years.

New York State Police said they are investigating the incident and there is no danger to the public.
