Man was stabbed by his wife at work

At 6:25 a.m. yesterday, Flowood Police received a 911 call stating that a man and a woman were involved in a disturbance at a business in Flowood.

The woman stabbed the man once in the arm and slashed the tires of his vehicle. Officers responded to the scene and determined that both people involved were from Mendenhall and that the woman had fled the scene. A short time later, she was taken into custody by the Simpson County Sheriff’s Department and held for Flowood.

The victim was treated at the scene by medical personnel and sustained a non-life-threatening injury. The case will be referred to the Rankin County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution. Flowood PD would like to thank Simpson County SO for their assistance in apprehending the suspect.

The suspect was identified as Falbrina Blackwell.
