Shots were fired near QU’s main campus Friday evening, leaving two suspects in custody

QUINCY, Ill. (KHQA) – Quincy police, QU campus security and QU administration responded to a shots fired call in the 500 block of North 18th Street Friday evening.

According to Quincy police, a male subject fired a handgun several times in the area.

The suspect left the scene in a white pickup truck and there were no reports of injuries or property damage.

The police assume that it was an isolated incident.

According to Quincy University’s Facebook page, two suspects are in custody.

The two suspects are the alleged shooter and his companion.

The suspected shooter is currently in custody in Marion County, Missouri.
