Middle-aged man arrested for sexually assaulting one-year-old in Lucknow district | Lucknow News

Lucknow: In a heinous act, a middle-aged man lured a one-year-old girl to his room under the guise of gaming and sexually assaulted her there Sarojininagar on Friday. Following the family’s complaint, Sarojininagar police registered a case and arrested the accused. The victim was sent for medical examination.
According to reports, the victim’s father, a scrap collector from Barabanki, lives with his wife and daughter in a rented house in Sarojininagar. The defendant is 50 years old Lori Yadava man from Kushinagar, who worked in a private company in the area, rented a room next to the victim’s family. Lori gained the parents’ trust by frequently playing with the girl over time. He often took her to his room to play.
It is alleged that Lori Yadav took the girl to his room around 9pm on Thursday evening on the pretext of playing with her. He later took the girl back to her parents, and she was reportedly crying uncontrollably. When the girl didn’t stop crying even after a long time, her mother became suspicious and subsequently discovered signs of this sexual assault.
The girl’s family immediately informed the landlord when they found out about the terrible incident. Lori Yadav was subsequently questioned, but he vehemently denied any wrongdoing. However, the girl’s persistent crying until Friday morning raised suspicions and prompted her parents to take her to a private hospital, where doctors pointed out a possible sexual assault. The girl’s parents immediately informed the police.
ADCP South Rajesh Kumar Yadav said that on the complaint of the victim’s family, a case was registered with the BNS under charge 65 (2) (rape of a girl below 12 years of age) and was also booked with protection of children from sexual offenses ( POCSO) Act, 2012. Yadav further said that the accused has been arrested and is being questioned.
