Atlantic City police are investigating a child who was injured in a crash

ATLANTIC CITY — Police are investigating a car accident that injured a 5-year-old child Friday night.

At approximately 5:48 p.m., officers went to the 2600 block of Fairmont Avenue where they found the child with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The child was flown by helicopter to Cooper University Hospital in Camden.

The driver remained at the scene and was not injured, police said.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office is assisting in the investigation.
