Long horror weekend: Child and adult die in Tubbut accident – and another child is hospitalized

A child and an adult have died in a stroller incident in regional Victoria.

The crash occurred in the Tubbut area, near the eastern border with New South Wales.

Rescue workers found the couple dead at the scene of the accident.

The buggy rollover reportedly occurred at a property in Tubbut around 11pm on Saturday.

“Unfortunately, the adult driver and a small passenger were found at the scene of the accident,” the police said in a statement.

Another child was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and an adult was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Police are yet to officially identify the people who lost their lives.

The incident occurred at a property on McKillops Road, near Collings Track.

The police are continuing to investigate. Tubbut is a hilly region on the northern edge of the Gippsland region of Victoria, south of Mount Tingaringy and the Alpine National Park.
