Tragic accident: Pickup truck fatally rams toll workers at Jaipur Plaza | Jaipur News

Jaipur: In an accident caught on CCTV, a pickup truck driver crushed a toll worker to death while reversing his vehicle Akhepura toll plaza in Sikar on Saturday. The driver was asked to switch to the cash lane after his fastag was canceled due to insufficient funds. The driver reversed at high speed and hit toll worker Babulal (44), who was crossing the road behind the vehicle.
The toll staff took Babulal to Palsana Community Health Center (CHC) where doctors declared him dead on arrival. The driver fled the scene of the accident. Police have impounded the vehicle and are working to identify and arrest the accused CCTV footage.
After the incident, Babulal’s family and villagers started protesting outside the mortuary of Palsana CHC, demanding Rs 1 crore compensation for the family and full coverage of the educational expenses of his two sons. TNN
