Millbrook Middle School teacher arrested for criminal breach of trust and harassment

A Millbrook Middle School teacher has been arrested on charges of criminal breach of trust and harassment of a student.

Millbrook Police Chief PK Johnson tells Action 8 News his officers received a complaint from a parent on Thursday about an altercation between the 13-year-old student and a teacher.

The parent told officers that the teacher, who was 27-year-old Austin Dorberth of Millbrook, approached the student and physically pushed him, causing the student to “drop his cell phone and his shoes moved out.” The parents said the child’s cell phone was damaged.

After reviewing the case, the Millbrook Municipal Court magistrate issued arrest warrants for Dorberth.

Chief Johnson said Dorbeteh turned himself in to Millbrook police the next day.

Dorberth is currently out on bond awaiting an appearance in City Court.
