Pokémon GO Community Day Guide October 2024 – Nintendo Wire

Starting in January 2018, Community Day is a monthly event in Pokémon GO that shines a spotlight on a specific Pokémon. One day per month, a Niantic-selected Pokémon will have its spawn rate increased during an hour block. Additionally, the Shiny spawn rate of the main Pokémon will be increased. There are also other advantages on Community Day – for example, that the featured Pokémon know at least one exclusive attack through evolution, a longer duration for lure modules, event boxes and more.

While Community Day (usually) only occurs one day a month, Pokémon that appear on Community Days from January to November of the same calendar year will return in December. Community Day, held in December, is a two-day event where Community Day Pokémon from the same and previous years return via raids, eggs, and increased spawns. So if you can’t attend a particular Community Day, there’s always another chance to catch that Pokémon (and its Shiny version) again!

Additionally, Niantic has brought back the old Community Days with Community Day Classic! This spin-off event, which debuted in January 2022, was similar to 2018’s Community Days, but with some additional event bonuses (namely photobomb encounters).

Please note that The standard times for Community Day have changed. Niantic has started using the old one “2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. your local time” block for future Community Day events beginning April 2022. But a new five-hour “sub-event” picks up where Community Day left off and focuses on personal raid battles. During these Raid Battles, Community Day Pokémon will spawn near the Gym for 30 minutes and have increased Community Day Shiny rates.

When will Pokémon GO Community Day take place in October 2024?

Community Day in October 2024 will take place Saturday, October 5, 2024 out of 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. your local time.

The bonus raid battles after the Community Day “sub-event” take place immediately afterwards – Saturday, October 5, 2024 out of 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. your local time.

What Pokémon is presented October 2024is Community Day?

The Pokémon that will be featured on Community Day in October 2024 is Sew. You’ll notice that Sewaddle will appear more often in the wild, and if you’re lucky you might even come across a Shiny One!

What is the exclusive attack for October 2024 Community Day?

Evolve Swadloon into Leavanny (over 100 Sewaddle Candies) and you will have a Leavanny who knows Shadowclaw (Quick Attack).

Shadowclaw The attack stats are as follows:

• Trainer Battles: 9 Strength
• Gyms and Raids: 6 Powers

Notes:

• This attack can only be learned by evolving Swadloon in Leavanny (over 100 Sewaddle Candies). Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. your local time.
• Development notes:
  • Evolving Sewaddle into Swadloon requires 25 Sewaddle Candies.
  • Evolving Swadloon into Leavanny requires 100 Sewaddle Candies.
  • Therefore, evolving from Sewaddle to Leavanny requires a total of 125 Sewaddle Candies.

Are there any bonuses for October 2024?‘s Community Day?

Yes, the Community Day bonuses are:

• 2× Candy for catching Pokémon
• 2x chance for trainers level 31 and above to receive XL Candies by catching Pokémon
• 1/4 egg hatching distance if eggs are placed in an incubator during the event
• Lock modules activated during the event last for three hours (excluding the gold lock module).
• Incense sticks activated during the event last for three hours (excluding daily adventure incense sticks).
• Take a few snapshots for a surprise during Community Day! (Sewaddle photobomb spawn. Can be repeated up to 5 times.)
• 50% less stardust is required for trades made (active from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. your local time)
• An additional special trade can be made for a maximum of two per day (active from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. your local time).

This Community Day overlaps with the Galarian Expedition event, but this event does not offer any active bonuses.

What is the special research story for October 2024?is Community Day?

The Community Day Special Research Story is called Sew wide. Sew well. This is a paid quest that costs $0.99 OR $1.00 (or the equivalent price in your local currency). It can also be purchased through the Ultra Community Day Box on the Pokémon GO Web Store (priced at $4.99 or your local currency equivalent) and includes additional items (10 Ultra Balls and 1 Elite Charged TM). A full list of tasks and rewards for this Special Research story will be added once the event is live.

For the Community Day event in October 2024, the following field research task will be available:

• Task: Catch 3 Sewaddles
  • Reward: Sewaddle* Encounter OR 5 Great Balls OR 2 Ultra Balls OR 2 Pinap Berries OR 500 Stardust

Will there be PokéStop showcases in October 2024?is Community Day?

Yes, PokéStop Showcases will be active during the event. These PokéStop showcases are active as of Saturday, October 5, 2024, 10 a.m. to Sunday, October 6, 2024, 8 p.m. your local time. The topic is submission largest Galarian Slowpoke, Galarian Slowbro and Galarian Slowking (Form not specified, but only Galarian version accepted). Instead of Sewaddle and Leavanny, PokéStop showcases in the style of the Galar Expedition event take precedence.

Are there special raids for October 2024?is Community Day?

There will be a special for Community Day in October 2024 Bonus raid battles after Community Day Event.

To Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. your local time Special four-star raids with Swadloon will take place in the gyms.

Four Star Raid Bonuses

• Defeating a Swadloon raid during this event will cause Sewaddle to spawn within a 300 meter radius of the arena (where the raid took place) for 30 minutes.
  • Shiny prices for Sewaddle are the same as for the Community Day event in October 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. your local time.

Restrictions for four-star raids

• These raids can only be accessed with Raid Passes and Premium Battle Passes.
  • Remote Raid Passes cannot be used.

Are there event packages for October 2024?is Community Day?

Some event packs are available for sale through the in-game shop:

• Great Box (480 PokéCoins, purchase limit 1): 30 Ultra Balls, 3 Super Incubators, 1 Incense Stick and 1 Bait Module.
• Community Day Box (1,350 PokéCoins, purchase limit 1): 50 Ultra Balls, 5 Super Incubators, 1 Elite Charged TM and 5 Lucky Eggs.

There will also be a bundle available for sale via Pokémon GO web shop:

• Ultra Community Day Box ($4.99): 10 Ultra Balls, 1 Elite Charged TM and 1 Special Research Ticket (for the event’s Special Research quest).

Are there special stickers related to the event? October 2024is Community Day?

Yes – there will be a selection of Sewaddle and Leavanny themed stickers. You can get them by spinning PokéStops, opening gifts, and/or purchasing them from the Pokémon GO in-game shop during the event.

Are there any other bonuses/tasks for? October 2024is Community Day?
