Four-vehicle crash sends two to hospital | Local News

SPOFFORD, NH – Traffic was diverted off Route 9 near Howard’s Leather after a four-vehicle crash sent two people to the hospital on Saturday. The Spofford Fire Department had to use some rescue tools to free one person.

The call came in around 12:46 p.m. after a driver of a vehicle attempted to turn left onto Atherton Hill Road and was struck from behind. The Chesterfield police officer on scene said the vehicle bounced between other vehicles following the impact.

One person was taken to Cheshire Medical Center in Keene, New Hampshire with serious injuries, and another person was also taken to the same hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Three other people involved in the accident said they had no injuries.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by Chesterfield Police.
