Sexual Harassment: Teenager arrested for sexually harassing minors in Lucknow | Lucknow News

Lucknow: A 17 year old boy was accused of luring a 16-year-old girl to accompany him to a city hotel where he sexually exploited her. After the girl’s parents filed a complaint, the police searched the hotel and recovered the girl. The defendant was taken into police custody. ACP Neha Tripathi said a case was also lodged against the hotel manager and receptionist, both from Hardoi, for giving the room to minors. “The hotel staff did not inform the girl’s family or the police,” she said, adding that Section 142 (The hotel manager and the receptionist had been slapped by the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita). She said legal action would be taken against her the juvenile offender. “We have lodged a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act, 2012 and Sections 135 (Confinement), 142 (Confinement of an abducted person), 75 (sexual harassment) of the BNS,” the ACP said.
