Nearly two years later, one was arrested for a fatal stabbing in Kelowna

A man has been arrested for a fatal knife attack that occurred in downtown Kelowna on October 9, 2022.

Tyler Sutter, 43, was charged with second-degree murder for stabbing and killing Devon Foster in the 1300 block of Water Street.

Sutter was arrested on Friday, October 4th and remains in custody.

He will soon be brought to trial.

“These types of investigations are complex and must be conducted methodically and thoroughly to protect the integrity of the investigation,” said Sgt. Laura Pollock, Kelowna RCMP media relations officer. “This investigation is currently with the BC Prosecution Service, as.” Therefore, the RCMP will not be releasing any further details.

Foster was from the Shuswap area. Shortly after his death, a fundraiser was launched for his family.
