​John Digweed shares his update with fans following the health crisis – News

British DJ and producer John Digweed has provided an update on his health after being admitted to a Los Angeles hospital in late September.

In an Instagram post shared yesterday, October 3, Digweed confirmed that he is now off the infusion and thanked the hospital staff and those who wished him well.

“No more IVs,” he said in the post. “I would like to thank all the doctors and nurses who have taken great care of me over the last 10 days.”

He continued: “They were really great, especially being so far from home. Thank you for all the kind words and support. It really helped me get through my time in the hospital.”

On September 23, Digweed was hospitalized after falling ill. The reason for his hospitalization was not confirmed, but his management stated that he would not be able to perform at three scheduled shows.

In a statement posted on Instagram, his management said: “John is very ill and in hospital. Unfortunately, due to his current condition, he will not be able to attend any of his concerts this weekend, including in Guadalajara and with Sasha in Mexico City and Dallas.”

Digweed was scheduled to perform at Bar Americas in Guadalajara on September 26th, two other scheduled shows alongside Sasha in Dallas and Mexico City were also canceled.

Cookie Presenta, the promoter of his show in Mexico City, told fans that the event would continue with a solo performance from Sasha.

“[Digweed’s] “The health status is very delicate and uncertain at the moment,” said Cookie Presenta (via EDM tunes). “John gradually became ill and he thought what he had was something temporary.”
