The K-drama “Way Back Love,” starring Kim Min-ha, is an instant high school romcom classic

This six-episode drama from Korean streaming service TVing, which premiered half of its episodes in Busan ahead of an expected broadcast in 2025, is based on the novel A week before I diewhich serves as the Korean title of the show.

Kim plays a withdrawn and depressed student who knocks on her door one day and is shocked at who she sees. A handsome young man in a baggy leather jacket is happy to see them and shouts “Ram-woo!” Don’t you recognize me?

The problem is that her name is Hee-wan and the person at her door is also named Hee-wan Strictly speaking Ram-woo, died four years ago. Now a Grim Reaper, Ram-woo visits Hee-wan to tell her that she only has a week left to live and to help her make the most of what little time she has left.
