Pair of teenagers charged with sexual assault of 12-year-old girl in NK | News

The girls, both 12 years old, had met one of the men through a social media site two days earlier and were picked up at around 1 a.m. in a Coventry park near a home where one of the girls lived, according to police lived.

“At approximately 2:51 a.m., police received a 911 call from a 12-year-old female who reported that she and her 12-year-old friend had been sexually assaulted by two adult males in the parking lot on Marine Road near the bike path. Arriving officers located the 12-year-old complainants,” according to North Kingstown police.

While they were in the vehicle and outside in the parking lot, one of the women was sexually assaulted by both suspects, police said.

The unoccupied vehicle was still in the parking lot, police said, and the girls said the men had a tent somewhere on a nearby beach. State Police and East Greenwich Police responded to assist in forming a cordon and providing drone and K-9 services.

Both male suspects were located along with a 12-year-old boy known to the men. Police learned that the suspects provided the boy with marijuana and alcohol.
