Fundraiser launched for heartbroken family following tragic death of young Cork girl with ‘kind soul’

Tributes have poured in for one family cork after the tragic and untimely death of a young girl.

Heaven Mwasu, of Rathmore Green, Kinsale, co. Cork tragically passed away earlier this week and her community in Kinsale was deeply affected.

Heaven was a student at Kinsale Community School, many students mourn the loss of the young girl from Cork.

In her obituary, Heaven’s family announced the news “with a heavy heart,” explaining that she was the “beloved daughter of Noela and Kayode, sister of Zuri and niece of Lulu, Lili and Aidan.”

“Adopted far too soon and sadly missed by her heartbroken parents, her sister, her aunts, her uncle, her cousins, extended family members, friends, neighbors, school friends and all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her,” says the message.

Dozens have already sent their heartfelt condolences to Heaven’s family and friends. A former classmate said she had “the kindest soul and the most beautiful smile I have ever seen.”

“She never failed to put a smile on anyone’s face. She lit up the classroom with her presence and will be greatly missed by our classmates at school,” the condolence message read.

Since then, the local community has rallied around the family, including: Fundraiser launched to support the parents and sisters of Heaven during this difficult time.

Neighbor Caroline Jones set it up Fundraiser on Thursday and said: “We would like to raise money for Noela’s family to help with funeral costs and are asking the community for support.”

The fundraiser has already raised €12,000 in less than a day, with Kinsale Fire and Rescue donating a significant €350.

Funeral arrangements for Heaven will be announced in the coming days.
