10 dead, 3 injured in tragic road accident in UP

At least 10 people were killed and three injured in a road accident in Mirzapur district of Uttar Pradesh in the early hours today.

The incident took place near Mirzamurad on the Mirzapur-Varanasi border when a truck collided with a tractor-trolley. SP Mirzapur, Abhinandan, told us that the tractor-trolley carrying 13 workers was hit by the truck from behind. The injured were taken to hospitals. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to take care of their treatment. Mirzapur MP Union Minister Anupriya Patel has expressed deep sadness over the incident.
