  • Police are searching for suspects in the armed carjacking of a scooter in Southwest Philadelphia

    PHILADELPHIA – The Southwest Detective Division is searching for three suspects involved in an armed carjacking that occurred early Thursday morning in Southwest Philadelphia. The incident occurred around midnight on September 26 in the 5800 block of Woodland Avenue.

    According to police, three unidentified black men approached the victim and stole a blue 2023 Yiben Fly Wing 200 scooter at gunpoint. One of the suspects, who was wearing a burgundy sweatshirt outfit, was armed with a gun. A second suspect is said to have been wearing a black coat and black pants, while the description of the third suspect remains unknown.

    The stolen vehicle has Pennsylvania temporary license plate 61DD6 and VIN LYDY3TBBXP1500586.

    Authorities are urging the public not to approach the suspects if they are seen and to contact 911 immediately.

    The investigation is ongoing and police are working to locate the suspects and the stolen scooter.
