  • On September 25 at 12:39 p.m., two people unaffiliated with Bradley approached a student on campus near the Bradley Bookstore. The people chatted briefly with the student when one of them told him they wanted his shoes. This person tried to hit the student, but he dodged the attack as they tried to steal his backpack. Both suspects fled before BUPD arrived, but officers were able to locate the vehicle they were in using surveillance cameras. BUPD was able to successfully arrest the first suspect and charge him with aggravated assault and attempted robbery. The person who was not involved in the incident has been identified, but no charges have been filed.
  • On September 27 at 11:59 p.m., BUPD responded to a report that a student’s roommate was refusing to let him out of his bedroom and was blocking the exit from his St. James apartment. The suspect also reportedly followed the victim to and from class and around campus for approximately a month. BUPD was able to assess the situation and remove the suspect from the residence.
  • On September 28th, a student reported that a student was waiting outside her dorm for a long time. The student reported the person and said he followed him to class and made inappropriate comments about the student’s relationship. BUPD responded to the call and was able to provide assistance.
  • On September 27th at 11:36 p.m., a person reported a bicycle robbery in front of University Hall. An anonymous reporter told BUPD that the bike’s lock had been cut off. This was the third bicycle robbery from the university hall’s bicycle rack in the last week and a half. The suspect has not been found and is not believed to be connected to the previously stolen bikes.
