Tragic start to the weekend in Spain: 20-year-old driver dies in a collision with a truck on the Costa Blanca

A 20-YEAR-OLD woman has died after her car collided with a truck on the Costa Blanca.

The terrible accident occurred on Thursday afternoon on the CV-930 road near Orihuela.

Witnesses called emergency services around 12:30 p.m. and reported a serious collision on the busy highway.

The fire department was called to the scene of the accident because they had to free the woman from the driver’s seat.

Images from the scene of the accident show how their vehicle appeared to be completely crushed by the collision.

She was in critical condition and paramedics began treatment immediately.

They performed advanced CPR maneuvers but were unable to stabilize her and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck driver was uninjured in the incident.
