WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella divorce Drama with her estranged husband Artem Chigvintsev was on everyone’s lips during the legal dispute. Now, in a recent report from TMZ, it has been revealed that Bella has filed a lawsuit interim injunction against Chigvintsev on Monday and a judge signed the order after the former WWE superstar submitted an affidavit to the court detailing Chigvintsev’s alleged abuse.

Nikki Bella is reportedly getting a restraining order against Artem Chigvintsev

Nikki Gracia, also known as Nikki Bella, has reportedly filed for a restraining order against her estranged husband Artem Chigvintsev after the former Dancing with the Stars partner allegedly mistreated her. In her petition, Nikki claimed that Artem “assaulted me multiple times and pinned me to the ground while our child was present.”
The former WWE superstar added that after his exit from “Dancing with the Stars,” Chigvintsev “became angrier and angrier, snapping at me and yelling at me.” She also shared details about tensions between her and her estranged husband Artem Chigvintsev, which led to her filing for a restraining order. According to Nikki, she and Artem had previously discussed his need to deal with his anger.
On the morning of the incident, a heated argument broke out over how her son Matteo’s English muffin was toasted. Artem accused Nikki of making Matteo a “picky eater.” Nikki admitted that she threw her son’s size 7 toddler shoes at Artem. She explained that although the shoes touched his leg, they were light and did not cause any damage. In response, Artem grabbed Matteo and ran upstairs while the child cried for his mother and screamed, “Mommy! Mama!”

She further explained that when she tried to enter Matteo’s room, Artem opened the door and threw her to the ground in front of her son’s room. Nikki claimed he grabbed her arms and held her for what felt like 30 seconds. Afterwards, Artem went back to Matteo’s room and closed the door behind him.
Nikki tried to push the door open again, and when she managed to get in, Artem pushed her across the hall into her bedroom. She said this resulted in her being forced onto the bathroom floor, where Artem placed his hands on her breast near her sternum and pressed down so hard that she felt like she was suffocating. Nikki remembered that as she tried to free herself, she grabbed Artem by the neck to push him away.
When the police arrived, Matteo told them: “Dad hurt my hand.”
Nikki also claimed that Chigvintsev had also been physically violent before. She recalled an incident in mid-2023 when Chivigintsev “forcibly grabbed her by the waist” to prevent her from approaching their son Matteo. Additionally, she claimed that there were numerous instances of verbal abuse throughout their relationship.
Furthermore, she expressed her concern for Matteo, stating that she did not want him to grow up in a chaotic environment. She hopes that Artem will seek help through therapy and anger management and asks for space between him and her family until he gets better.
According to TMZ’s report, the judge banned Artem from coming within 100 meters of her, her son and her house; only with the exception of visitation or exchange of the child as part of court-ordered visits. The judge also denied Nikki’s request to leave the country before the full hearing on October 21.
Nikki had previously filed for divorce and Chigvintsev was arrested after an alleged altercation, but prosecutors declined to press charges due to a lack of evidence. The duo married in 2022.
