It’s frightening to see some of the gremlins in the film, but this is where the horror begins and ends. There is some violence, but enough comedy to counteract it. The gremlins are too small to be really scary.

Frankenstein considered one of the best horror films of all time, but it really isn’t scary. Even if you’re a total dud when it comes to scary movies, you’ll be fine with this Frankenstein. Maybe it’s the black and white film, but compared to horror films from the 80s and after, it’s a breeze to watch.

The Goonies is just a funny film. It’s not scary and doesn’t really have anything to do with Halloween, but it captures the spirit of the holiday and has a bit of spookiness. It’s a great option if you’re not in the mood to be scared.
