The 44-year-old actor will star in the upcoming crime pilot Einstein for CBS, more than four years after he parted ways with the network following the end of Criminal minds.

While most Criminal minds Cast returned for the follow-up series on Paramount+, Matthew decided not to reprise his role as Spencer Reid.

This is reported by Deadline Matthew will play the “brilliant but directionless great-grandson of Albert Einstein, who spends his days as a tenured professor until his evil escapades bring him into trouble with the law and he is forced to help a local police detective solve their most puzzling cases.” .”

“Lew Einstein is a popular professor at Princeton…when he actually shows up to class. “Disrespectful and misguided, Lew’s genius and famous name weigh heavily on him, but using his gift to solve murders could finally give his life direction and meaning,” the description continues.
