Man critically injured in early morning stabbing in Kent

An adult man was hospitalized after being stabbed in the chest in Kent early Thursday morning, according to the Kent Police Department.

According to police, the incident occurred around 4 a.m. Thursday morning in the 23000 block of 126th Ave SE. When officers arrived, they found an adult male who had been stabbed in the chest.

According to Kent Police, the man was taken to hospital shortly afterwards, where he was reportedly in a critical condition before undergoing surgery.

According to police, no suspect is currently in custody. However, police confirmed that the suspect was a woman.

Police said their initial information suggests the stabbing was not a random incident.

The KPD said it wanted to process the crime scene to gather further evidence.
