Man wanted in 2010 Brick Township shooting has been arrested in New York

One of New Jersey’s most wanted criminals is now behind bars.

The New Jersey State Fugitive Unit and state marshals arrested Marciano Sanchez on Wednesday in New York.

Sanchez, 40, was wanted in connection with a 2010 shooting in Brick. Officials say 14 years ago, Brick police officers found a man shot in the face at the Community First Aid Building on Mantoloking Road. Sanchez was identified as the suspect in that shooting.

The shooting victim survived the shooting.

Sanchez is being held at Rikers Island awaiting extradition to Ocean County.
