Troy police are investigating two shooting incidents

Troy police responded to two shooting incidents just hours apart Thursday evening.

Officers were initially patrolling near 6th Avenue and Glen Avenue around 5:45 p.m. when they heard gunshots nearby. Officers then observed three suspects attempting to flee the area. All three suspects were arrested.

Less than two hours later, police responded to a second call near 8th Avenue and Northern Drive in Lansingburgh. Police were told a suspect opened fire and drove away from the scene before police arrived. No injuries were reported.

At this point, it appears the two shootings were unrelated.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (518) 270-4421.
