Laredo man sentenced to 35 years in prison for possession and production of child pornography

LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) – The U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of Texas reports that a 25-year-old man has been convicted of sexual exploitation of a child and possession of child sexual abuse material.

The investigation began when authorities learned of a person in Laredo who was distributing child pornography through a WhatsApp account linked to Hernandez.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Hernandez admitted to sending a video containing child pornography on WhatsApp and having videos of the same material on his computer.

Hernandez was also ordered to pay $3,000 in restitution to a known victim and will serve 10 years of supervised release upon completion of his sentence.
