Bismarck man faces charges for leaving the scene of an accident

BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) – The Burleigh County Prosecutor’s Office charged a man with leaving the scene of an accident.

According to police, Michael Meier hit a motorcyclist on 12th Street in Bismarck and then drove away.

The driver and his passenger both suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Meier told officers he left the scene because he was afraid.
