CCPD investigates fatal crash on US Highway 181 South

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Traffic is at a standstill in Corpus Christi after a motorcyclist was killed and the roadway cleared.

According to Corpus Christi Police, around 3:45 p.m., a collision occurred between an 18-wheeler and a motorcyclist on HWY 181 South, resulting in the motorcyclist’s death.

All southbound traffic was rerouted downtown via the Joe Fulton Corridor.

CCPD expects the cleanup to be completed by this evening.
