Rachel Zegler says she is “really afraid” of being replaced by AI

Rachel Zegler has expressed her concerns about artificial intelligence.

The actress who will star in the upcoming live-action version of Snow White, spoke with in a new interview about an incident that happened when she was 18 that made her nervous about AI diversity.

“I was very afraid of being replaced by an artificial intelligence version of myself that they had scanned when I was 18, and then never being able to work on a set again,” Zegler said. “What stopped you from using this for the rest of my life?”

She said that “465 photos were taken of every angle of my body” for CGI stunts. “It was fucking dystopian,” she added.

Her comments come after Guillermo del Toro also recently spoke out about AI, claiming it can make “semi-convincing screensavers” and “that’s essentially what it is.”

He added: “The value of art lies not in how much it costs and how little effort it requires, but in how much you would risk to be in its presence.” How much would people pay for these screensavers? Will they make them cry because they lost a son? A mother? Because they wasted their youth? Fuck no!”

The use of AI in art continues to be a hot topic. Nick Cave recently described it as “incredibly disturbing” and argued it would have a “humiliating effect” on the creative industries.

Meanwhile, Tears For Fears opened up about why they chose to use AI to design their new album cover, Songs For A Nervous Planet, saying it was “just one of the many tools used in the creative process “.

Peter Hook recently claimed that any song written using AI is “shit”, while Daniel Bedingfield proclaimed AI as the future of music and questioned the “neo-Luddites” who seek to oppose it.

There is now a trailer for the upcoming one Snow White The film recently received an overwhelming amount of dislike.

The cinema release is scheduled for March 21, 2025.
