Three other complainants are accused of sexual assault against Frank Stronach

Court documents show billionaire businessman Frank Stronach faces additional sexual assault charges against three other complainants, with allegations dating back to the 1980s and 1990s.

The latest charges bring the total number of accusers in his case to 13.

Stronach, 92, was first charged in early June with five sexual offenses involving three complainants. Further charges were filed against him later that month as other complainants came forward.

Court documents filed last week at a courthouse in Brampton, Ont., show Stronach is now charged with five additional offenses, including sexual assault and indecent assault, for a total of 18 charges.

The crimes are said to have occurred in Toronto and the hamlet of Gormley, Ontario, north of the city.

Stronach has previously denied all allegations against him, claiming in a CBC interview that his accusers were motivated by money.

Stronach, who was born in Austria, became one of Canada’s richest people by founding auto parts giant Magna in his garage in 1957.

He also founded The Stronach Group, a company specializing in horse racing, and in 2018 founded Stronach International, a company focused on organic food and “micro-electric mobility.”

Stronach stepped down as Magna’s chief executive in 2011 and founded his own political party in his native Austria the following year.

Magna International Inc. said Thursday that it had launched a targeted review of its historical records in response to the allegations against Stronach.

Magna spokeswoman Tracy Fuerst said that if relevant information is found, the company – which has no criminal or civil charges – will follow a strict protocol to respect everyone’s legal rights and cooperate with authorities.
