Man arrested on child porn charges after CyberTip in Porterville

PORTERVILLE, Calif. (FOX260 – A man was arrested Wednesday morning in Porterville after providing authorities with a child porn cyber tip.

According to Porterville police, 34-year-old Marty Joe Clayton Lester Jr. was arrested after investigators from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) received a tip from a Porterville resident who had uploaded a file containing child pornography.

After an investigation, investigators found evidence that Marty was the one uploading and downloading child pornography.

An arrest warrant was issued and investigators executed a search warrant with members of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday at Marty’s home in the 800 block of South Crystal Street.

They found several electronic devices that were used as evidence.

Lester was arrested for distribution of child pornography, possession of child pornography and sexual exploitation of a child. Lester was later booked into the Tulare County South County Detention Center where he is being held without bail.
