Now available on all Netflix platforms, Nobody wants that is a mix of romantic comedy and dramedy. The return of Kristen Bell and Adam Brody to the big screen as two actors who dominated television in the early 2000s is one for the history books. Both actors starred in acclaimed series like “Veronica Mars” and “OC,” which set the standard for how today’s television revolves around drama, romance and hilarious comebacks for the perfect series. Additionally, both recurring actors bring a sense of nostalgia to fans who are completely in love with Seth Cohen, Brody’s sarcastic, lovable nerd The OK

The new series is shot like a movie but divided into ten episodes to document the lives of a podcaster and a rabbi. Bell’s character Joanne is a popular character who shares the same title as the series. Nobody wants that is a duo with her sister Morgan where they discuss all things dating, sex and the general struggles of women. However, a rift arises between the two sisters as a power struggle arises over who is the true face of the podcast. What some call just sisterly love can turn into an outright argument during a podcast episode.

As the sister duo discuss Joanne’s dating life on the podcast, she realizes that she wants a relationship, but with someone who will be there for her emotionally. Tired of being shunned in public and embarrassed by men, Joanne is looking for “Mr. Right.” Fast forward to a dinner party thrown by her friend, Joanne meets Brody’s character Noah. Joanne and Noah hit it off right away, they loved attention and thought each other was cute.

Then things get heated between the two, which leads to them sitting next to each other at dinner. Unfortunately, Joanne mistakes Noah’s job for another man at the party, assuming he is not a rabbi. When Joanne finally realizes that Noah is a rabbi after he answers a question during dinner, her eyes light up with amazement, desperate to learn more about a man she thought she knew everything about. An agnostic sex podcaster and a Jewish rabbi, an unlikely duo. Eventually the two meet and date, and then the rest is history.

Finally, Brody and Bell share an on-screen kiss that raises the bar for romantic comedies everywhere. In the scene, Noah makes Joanne drop everything – her purse and her ice cream – to prepare for her first kiss. Noah then grabs Joanne’s fan and embraces her in a passionate kiss. Fans and Bell alike are thrilled by the scene, with Bell calling the moment “probably the best on-screen kiss I’ve ever done.”

“My biggest memory is that I wasn’t prepared for Adam to put his hands on my face like he did during so many kisses,” the actress explained, adding that she remembered how some of the crew members followed gasped for air. “And I thought, ‘Oh, this will work,'” she added. While we don’t want to spoil the rest of the series for you, just know that the two have incredible chemistry and witty banter reminiscent of early 2000s rom-coms.
