Two new 12-foot skeleton accessories from Home Depot are on sale until midnight

Just in time for Halloween – and for today only (Thursday, October 3) – two new accessories for Home Depot’s iconic 12-foot skeleton are on sale.

From now until midnight, the hardware store is offering select Halloween decorations online as “Special Buys of the Day.” These include the standard Skelly Scary Head (was $79.98, now $54.98) and the 12-foot Skeleton Accessory Set (was $49.98, now $34.98), the 31 and are 30 percent cheaper.

The Scary Head is an interchangeable skull for Home Depot’s $299 flagship giant skeleton (nicknamed “Skelly”), featuring a menacing, sharp-toothed grin, Jack Nicholson-style eyebrows, and eight LCD eye options available via Remote control can be set. For those who would rather be silly than scary, the accessory set includes a black double-braided wig, black shoes, a pearl necklace and a handbag, all weatherproof.

Shoppers can purchase up to 20 of these per order if someone has a whole herd of 12-foot animals to decorate. At the time of writing, there were more than 2,000 copies left in stock.

Both accessories were released in July as part of Home Depot’s 2024 Halloween collection, helmed by Skelly for the fifth year in a row, as well as his new seven-foot-long skeleton dog, a new 12-foot-tall “Servo Skelly.” motorized head movements and new 12-foot-tall “Inferno Deadwood” skeleton. In addition to the Scary Head and accessory kit, Home Depot has added two more Skelly add-ons to the collection: an LED chest light set and a new customizable eye set.

Some items in the collection were available online when we last checked, although in very limited quantities. These include the Skeleton Dog, which sold out quickly during the summer launch, and a limited Halfway to Halloween drop in April, as well as the Inferno Deadwood skeleton and the other kits. However, none of these are on offer.

Skelly, for his part, is sold out; Shoppers still looking for such a device might have luck stopping by their local Home Depot store, but there are no promises. It seems like the hype hasn’t died down yet.
