Three have been charged after shots were fired on Rifle Range Road in Mount Pleasant

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) – Mount Pleasant police announced Thursday that they had arrested three people in connection with shots fired Wednesday on Rifle Range Road.

Kevin Baxter, Cory Gethers and Britney Chisolm are charged in connection with the incident. Baxter was charged with illegal possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, online jail records show.

According to jail records, Gethers was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession of Schedule II, possession of a weapon during a crime of violence and resisting arrest. At the time of publication, a mugshot for Gethers was not available on the prison’s website.

Chisolm was charged with trafficking MDMA and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

According to a release from the department, officers arrived on scene around 4:20 p.m. and all people involved were still on scene.

The investigation led to the discovery of firearms and narcotics.
