Storm Lake Police have a new officer

A new patrol officer has been sworn into the Storm Lake Police Department.

Oscar Garcia was sworn in by Mayor Mike Porsch at Storm Lake City Hall on Wednesday morning. Garcia previously worked for the Denison Police Department. He is a graduate of Western Iowa Tech with a degree in criminal justice. Garcia graduated from the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy this year.
